Simple, tasty rolls in a tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef round steak, pounded flat
- 2 garlic clove crushed
- 1 tbs parmesan cheese fresh grated
- 2 egg hard-boiled
- 1 tbs fresh flat-leaf parsley chopped
- 5 slices prosciutto roughly chopped
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 400 g pasta *to serve
Sauce
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 440 g canned chopped tomato
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 cup red wine optional
Method

Step 1Lay out steak, cover with mixture of next 6 ingredients.

Step 2Roll steak and secure firmly.

Step 3Heat oil in pan, add rolled steak and slowly brown on all sides.

Step 4Add onion, tomatoes, salt and pepper, bay leaf and red wine.

Step 5Cover and simmer for about half an hour or until steak is tender.

Step 6Slice and serve with pasta of choice.
