Ingredients

  • 700 g beef mince
  • 1 tbs garlic flakes
  • 1 tbs onion flakes
  • 1 tsp dried marjoram
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 275 g cranberry sauce
  • 410 g canned chopped tomato
  • 2 tbs tomato sauce
  • 4 tbs tomato paste
  • 1 pinch pepper *to taste

Method

  • Step 1
Mix the garlic and onion flakes into the meat, and add the herbs. Mix well.
  • Step 2
Make the meatballs (not too large).
  • Step 3
Put the tomato paste, tomato sauce, canned tomatoes and cranberry sauce into a large pot.
  • Step 4
Add pepper to taste, mix together well.
  • Step 5
Bring the sauce to a low boil and then put in the meatballs to cook, making sure the meatballs are covered by the sauce.
  • Step 6
Cook for an hour on medium/low heat.
Recipe Notes

You might need to add a little water if the sauce is very thick. Turkey mince works very well for this recipe as well.
