This takes garlic mash to a whole new level. Serve with beef stews, chicken dishes and pretty much anything.
Ingredients
- 45 g butter
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 garlic clove crushed
- 1 pinch seasoning *to taste
- 30 g plain flour
- 280 ml milk
- 8 potato cooked peeled
- 125 ml white wine
Method

Step 1Melt 15 g of the butter in a pan. Add the chopped onions and cook gently until soft and golden.

Step 2Add the garlic and cook for another minute.

Step 3Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the wine, turn up the heat and reduce the volume by about half. Remove from heat.

Step 4In another pan melt the remaining 30 g of butter. Add the flour, stir and cook for about five minutes.

Step 5Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly.

Step 6Mix in the onion and garlic mixture.

Step 7Mash potatoes like you usually would, using the sauce instead of milk and butter.
