Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup self-raising flour
- 1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 90 g butter
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 2 large egg beaten
- 1 banana large mashed
- 8 tsp golden syrup
- 1/4 cup choc bits
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 180C.

Step 2Grease 12 muffin tin with butter.

Step 3Sift the flour and bicarbonate soda into a mixing bowl.

Step 4Rub in the butter until it resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar.

Step 5In separate mixing bowl, beat together the eggs, bananas and golden syrup. and stir into the flour mixture until smooth. Fold in the choc bits and spoon mixture into the tins.

Step 6Bake for 25 minutes, or until firm and skewer comes out clean.

Step 7Leave to cool in tin for about 3 minutes before turning out.

Recipe Notes
If freezing, thaw at room temperature for about 2 hours before you use them.
