Ingredients

  • 2 tbs butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 1/2 cups plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 2 tbs golden syrup
  • 1 tbs milk

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 180C (fan-forced 160C).
  • Step 2
    Mix all ingredients together well.

  • Step 3
    Roll dough into small balls and place on a greased tray.
  • Step 4
    Bake for 15 minutes, or until brown.
