An authentic Kiwi Afghan biscuit recipe that makes the most delicious biscuits. These will keep for several days in an airtight container. - wapol

Ingredients

  • 200 g butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups plain flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 2 cups Kellogg's Cornflakes crushed
  • 200 g milk chocolate melts
  • 1 cup walnuts *to decorate

Method

  • Step 1
    Combine softened butter and sugar and beat to a cream.
  • Step 2
    Add flour, cocoa, and cornflakes. Mix well.
  • Step 3
    Place golf ball size portions onto baking paper on an oven tray, pressing lightly in the centre and bake for approximately 15 minutes at 180C.
  • Step 4
    Allow to cool. Melt the chocolate and spoon approximately 1 tablespoon of chocolate onto the top of each biscuit.
  • Step 5
    Place a walnut into the melted chocolate.

  • 1 baking tray
  • 1 metal spoon
