I ordered this at a restaurant and loved it, so thought I would make my own version at home. If you like you can also add white wine to the sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 veal steaks
- 2 tbs butter
- 20 green prawns deveined peeled
Sauce
- 1 garlic clove crushed
- 60 g butter
- 1 tbs plain flour
- 200 ml cream
- 1 tbs pesto
Method

Step 1Brown veal steaks on both sides in butter, once browned keep warmed on the side.

Step 2In a separate saucepan melt butter and garlic. Add plain flour stirring until a paste forms.

Step 3Add cream and whisk until sauce has thickened. Once thickened add pesto sauce.

Step 4Meanwhile cook prawns in pan with some butter until colour changes.

Step 5Serve with prawns and sauce over veal.
Recipe Notes
You can serve this on a bed of rice if you like. Place rice in centre of plate, add veal, then prawns then spoon sauce over the top.
