Veal with Creamy Garlic and Pesto Prawns

I ordered this at a restaurant and loved it, so thought I would make my own version at home. If you like you can also add white wine to the sauce. - lovetocook

Ingredients

  • 4 veal steaks
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 20 green prawns deveined peeled

Sauce

  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 60 g butter
  • 1 tbs plain flour
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 tbs pesto

Method

  • Step 1
    Brown veal steaks on both sides in butter, once browned keep warmed on the side.
  • Step 2
    In a separate saucepan melt butter and garlic. Add plain flour stirring until a paste forms.
  • Step 3
    Add cream and whisk until sauce has thickened. Once thickened add pesto sauce.
  • Step 4
    Meanwhile cook prawns in pan with some butter until colour changes.
  • Step 5
    Serve with prawns and sauce over veal.
Recipe Notes

You can serve this on a bed of rice if you like. Place rice in centre of plate, add veal, then prawns then spoon sauce over the top.
