A tasty winter casserole - suitable for slow cooker or crockpot, guaranteed to warm you up!
Ingredients
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 500 g stewing veal chops
- 6 potato medium peeled thinly sliced
- 6 tomato chopped cored cored just ripe
- 135 g Dutch curry and rice soup mix
- 1 onion diced large
- 3/4 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbs tomato paste
Method

Step 1Heat olive oil and fry onion in a large electric frypan.

Step 2Add the veal in batches and brown.

Step 3Add in a cup of water with the contents of the soup packet.

Step 4Add tomatoes, potatoes and peas.

Step 5Make sure there is enough water in the frying pan so it looks a bit soupy. If not, add more water.

Step 6Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of tomato paste to add colour, thicken and add flavour.

Step 7Leave bubbling away at a low heat with the lid on until the potatoes are cooked through. Stir occasionally.
