Ingredients

  • 1kg beef mince
  • 2 baby onion diced
  • 2 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tsp parsley chopped
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup water

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 30g butter
  • 1 tsp coffee powder
  • 2 tsp lemon juice

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 180C and grease a loaf pan.
  • Step 2
    In a large bowl, mix together mince, onions, curry powder, parsley, milk, breadcrumbs and water.
  • Step 3
    Bake for 30 minutes, drain out oil and turn over.
  • Step 4
    Sauce: Place all sauce ingredients in a saucepan and bring to the boil for 5 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Pour over meatloaf and cook for a further 45 minutes.
