An old fashioned recipe using honey, given to me by my grandmother.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 kg pickling onion small
- 1 cup honey
- 4 cup white vinegar
- 1 tbs salt
- 6 peppercorns
Method

Step 1Peel onions and pack firmly into sterilised jars.

Step 2Place remaining ingredients into a saucepan and bring slowly to the boil. Simmer for 3 minutes.

Step 3Remove from heat and carefully pour over onions while still hot.

Step 4Seal immediately.
