Everyone will love this creamy, decadent oven baked salmon recipe. Baked on a bed of bright spinach, topped with garlic, cream and parmesan, and served with potatoes, this dish will wow the crowd.
Ingredients
- 4 salmon steaks
- 150 g baby spinach
- 350 ml cream
- 2 garlic cloves crushed
- 1/2 cup parmesan grated
- 1 pinch salt and pepper *to taste
- 4 potatoes chopped large peeled
- 4 tbs milk
- 2 tbs butter
Method

Step 1Wash spinach leaves then cover the bottom of a deep oven dish with them.

Step 2Place salmon steaks on top of the spinach leaves. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 3Mix the garlic and cream together, pour over the salmon. Top with Parmesan cheese.

Step 4Bake in a moderate oven for about ½ an hour.

Step 5Boil or steam potatoes until soft. Drain, add milk and butter and mash well.

Step 6Serve the salmon on top of mashed potato.

This recipe calls for the salmon to be baked in a moderate oven, so preheat your oven to 180C.
