Ingredients

  • 240 g plain flour
  • 120 g soft butter
  • 4 tbs cold water

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 180C.
  • Step 2
    Grease a 20 cm pie dish.
  • Step 3
    In a large bowl, rub flour and butter together to resemble fine crumbs.

    Add water to bowl and combine to make a soft dough.
  • Step 5
    On a floured surface, roll out a little over half the dough and use to line the pie dish.
  • Step 6
    On a piece of baking paper, roll out the remaining dough into a circle.
  • Step 7
    Place both sections of pastry in fridge for 20 minutes.
  • Step 8
    Add prepared filling into the pie dish.
  • Step 9
    Place pastry on top, make a hole to allow steam out.
  • Step 10
    Bake for 30 minutes.

  • 1 bowl
  • 1 baking paper
