This pastry is for savoury dishes. It does not require blind-baking. So quick and easy, you can't go wrong. A light, golden pastry every time.
Ingredients
- 240 g plain flour
- 120 g soft butter
- 4 tbs cold water
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 180C.

Step 2Grease a 20 cm pie dish.

Step 3In a large bowl, rub flour and butter together to resemble fine crumbs.

Step 4Add water to bowl and combine to make a soft dough.

Step 5On a floured surface, roll out a little over half the dough and use to line the pie dish.

Step 6On a piece of baking paper, roll out the remaining dough into a circle.

Step 7Place both sections of pastry in fridge for 20 minutes.

Step 8Add prepared filling into the pie dish.

Step 9Place pastry on top, make a hole to allow steam out.

Step 10Bake for 30 minutes.
