An easy one-pot dinner for the whole family.
Ingredients
- 10 sausage
- 1 1/2 cup white rice
- 2 tsp chicken stock powder
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 tsp crushed garlic
- 2 cup water
- 1 lemon cut into wedges *to serve
- 1 cup sour cream *to serve
Method

Step 1Brown sausages over medium heat in a large, deep frying pan.

Step 2Remove sausages and slice into chunks, return to pan.

Step 3Add remaining ingredients except lemon and sour cream.

Step 4Bring to the boil then move to the smallest burner on the lowest possible setting.

Step 5Cook covered, stirring occasionally for approximately 10 minutes or until rice is cooked.

Step 6Allow to stand 5 minutes before serving with a dollop of sour cream and a squeeze of lemon.
Recipe Notes
Try adding some crushed chilli with the sour cream and stir through for a change! I used beef sausage and frozen mixed peas, corn, carrots.
