Winter warming comfort food on a budget. This is another way to sneak in vegetables for those kids who think they hate them!
Ingredients
- 8 sausages
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 2 bacon rashers diced
- 1/2 red capsicum diced
- 4 mushrooms sliced
- 440 g can condensed tomato soup
Method

Step 1Fry the sausages until brown, remove from the pan and cut into 1.5cm sized chunks.

Step 2Fry the onion, bacon and capsicum for 5 minutes. Return the sausages to the pan with the mushrooms and the can of soup.

Step 3Simmer for 20 minutes until the vegetables and sausages are cooked.

Step 4Serve with rice, or mashed potato and vegetables.
Recipe Notes
Use any vegetables you like. A can of baked beans could be added too.
