Satay Beef Stir-Fry

This is a lovely, spicy stir-fry and unbelievably quick to make. - marie

Ingredients

  • 2 potato diced peeled
  • 1 onion cut into wedges
  • 500 g lean beef stir-fry strips
  • 1 tsp curry powder
  • 1 tbs oil

Sauce

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbs satay sauce
  • 1 tbs chilli sauce
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 2 tsp cornflour

Method

  • Step 1
    Heat 2 teaspoons of oil and stir-fry the beef in batches.
  • Step 2
    Remove from wok.
  • Step 3
    Stir-fry the potato for about 5 minutes until browned.
  • Step 4
    Add onion and cook for a further few minutes until the onion is soft.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle with the curry powder.
  • Step 6
    Return beef to the wok with the combined sauce ingredients.
  • Step 7
    Bring to the boil and simmer for a few minutes until hot.
  • Step 8
    Serve with steamed or boiled rice.
