A microwave chocolate self-saucing pudding. - AmberL

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 100 g butter melted
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 2 tbs cocoa
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla essence

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 tbs cocoa

Method

  • Step 1
    Combine the pudding ingredients, mix well.

  • Step 2
    Pour into microwave safe casserole dish.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle with sugar.
  • Step 4
    Gently pour hot water over.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle with cocoa.
  • Step 6
    Cook on high for 6½ minutes uncovered in microwave.

  • 1 casserole dish
  • 1 microwave
Recipe Notes

The cooking time is for a 700W microwave.

I have also added ½ cup of chocolate chips to the mix (not the sauce) and it turned out yummy as well.

It tastes great with fresh cream, custard or ice cream.
