It's very delicious and easy to make! I wanted to make something easy and yummy at the same time, and ended up with this aromatic and wonderful desert.
Ingredients
- 250g plain flour
- 180g butter, cold, cubed
- 85g icing sugar
Cream
- 2 oranges
- 1 lemon
- 5 eggs
- 350g sugar
- 50g plain flour
- 1 tbs cornflour
Method

Step 1Heat oven to 180C. Line a rectangular tray 23 x 33cm with baking paper.

Step 2Mix flour, sugar and butter, using a food processor or blender, mixing until it forms a crumbly dough. Turn directly into prepared pan and level with back of a spoon, pressing slightly. Cook dough in the oven for 20 minutes.

Step 3To make the cream, zest the orange and lemon and then squeeze the juice. You need 150ml juice combined.

Step 4Beat eggs and sugar with mixer until sugar melts and turn white. Add zest from citrus (to taste) and juice, mix until smooth. Add in flour and cornflour, mixing until incorporates. Pour the cream over the cake, bake in the oven for another 20 minutes.

Step 5Let cake cool in the pan, then sprinkle with icing sugar to serve. Cut and serve.
