This cordial can be bottled and stored in a cool dark place. Just add water and ice.
Ingredients
- 3 oranges
- 3 lemons
- 1 tbs tartaric acid
- 2 tsp citric acid
- 2 tsp epsom salt
- 1 1/2 kg sugar
- 1 1/2 L boiling water
Method

Step 1Grate rind of oranges and lemons.

Step 2Juice fruit and mix with grated rinds.

Step 3Stir in tartaric and citric acids, epsom salts and sugar.

Step 4Pour over boiling water and stir until sugar dissolves.

Step 5Bottle and seal for use as a cordial base.
Recipe Notes
For a tropical cordial, one passionfruit pulp can be added to each bottle.
