Excellent dessert similar to a crumble. My children always come back for seconds!
Ingredients
- 440 g canned fruit salad
- 450 g (crushed) canned pineapple drained
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 470 g vanilla cake mix
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/2 cup mixed nuts chopped
- 1/2 cup butter melted
Method

Step 1Layer ingredients in deep casserole dish in order mentioned.

Step 2Sprinkle over butter.

Step 3Bake for approximately 40 minutes at 180C until golden brown.

Recipe Notes
Don't mix or prepare the packet cake mix - just use the dry powder.
I use raw cashews on top, the taste is divine.
I also use Ardmona pears in raspberry.
You can also use mixed frozen berries (omit pineapple).
Use can fruit in syrup and nuts i.e. almonds, cashews, pecans.
Serve with cream or ice-cream or both.
