A wonderful meal to cook on a BBQ.
Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb leg boned cubed
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 tbs garlic
- 1/2 cup fresh mint finely chopped *to taste
- 1 tbs soy sauce
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 pinch seasoning *to taste
- 2 chicken stock cube
- 100 ml olive oil
- 2 tbs lemon juice *to taste
Method

Step 1In a large bowl, combine onion, garlic, mint, soy sauce, cumin, coriander, salt and pepper, stock cubes and oil.

Step 2Add lamb, mix well, cover and refrigerate overnight.

Step 3Soak kebab skewers in water, then place lamb onto skewers.

Step 4Cook on heated barbeque hotplate to seal then cook on grill plate over flame for the last 5 minutes.

Step 5When almost cooked, pour over lemon juice.

Step 6Serve hot.
Recipe Notes
This dish goes very well with rice, tabouleh and hummus. It is also great with chicken or beef. It can also be made into pita souvlakis - a real crowd pleaser.
