Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 kg corned beef
  • 2 tbs brown sugar
  • 1 onion peeled quartered
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 cup water
  • 1 tsp whole cloves optional

Method

  • Step 1
    Place corned beef in a microwave dish, along with the remainder of ingredients.
  • Step 2
    Cover the dish and cook in a 700 watt microwave for 10 minutes on high power.
  • Step 3
    Turn microwave down to medium-high and cook for another 15 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Turn the meat over and cook for another 15 minutes.

  • 1 baking dish
Recipe Notes
Can be eaten immediately after cooking but also tastes wonderful if allowed to sit in the dish until cooled. If your microwave is a different wattage then adjust cooking times as needed. You can also cook other size pieces, just adjust times.
