This is the fastest way to do a bechamel, and it tastes as good as the real one.
Ingredients
- 2 tbs plain flour
- 250 ml milk
- 20 g butter
- 2 pinches salt
- 1 pinch pepper
Method

Step 1In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter for 1 minute in the microwave.

Step 2Add the flour to the melted butter and mix with a spoon until combined.

Step 3In a saucepan, boil the milk then slowly pour into the butter mixture. Stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 4Return the bowl to the microwave and cook for 1 minute. Remove the bowl from the microwave and whisk well to finish.

Recipe Notes
You can also add some crushed garlic when seasoning with the salt and pepper.
