They're healthy, chocked-full of nutrients and flavour. They're also low fat, kid-friendly and perfect as a take anywhere snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mixed nuts
- 1 cup dates
- 1/3 cup desiccated coconut
- 1/4 cup raw cacao powder
- 1 tbs chia seeds
- 2 tbs honey
- 1 1/2 tsp fresh orange juice
- 1/2 tsp orange zest
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Method

Step 1Blitz nuts in a blender or food processor until fine.

Step 2Add dates and blitz again until combined.

Step 3Add remaining ingredients and blitz until it all comes together.

Step 4Form into balls, roll in coconut and refrigerate.
Equipment
- 1 food processor
Recipe Notes
Add more honey or orange juice if mixture is too dry.
Alternatively add more nut meal if mixture is too wet.
Adjust spice and zest amounts to taste.
