Ingredients

  • 1 kg beef chuck steak, cubed
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 2 onions chopped large
  • 3 garlic cloves chopped
  • 3 tbs tomato paste
  • 1 green capsicums chopped
  • 3 celery stalks chopped
  • 400 g canned chopped tomato
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pinch parsley chopped

Method

  • Step 1
    In a large saucepan, fry the onion and garlic in oil.
  • Step 2
    Add the tomato paste and meat.
  • Step 3
    Cook, stirring continuously, until meat is coated with paste and browned.
  • Step 4
    Add remaining ingredients and 1 can of water.
  • Step 5
    Simmer slowly for one hour, adding more water if needed.
  • Step 6
    Serve over pasta of choice.
Recipe Notes

This is also very good in a pressure cooker.
