Something a bit different for entertaining at a barbeque. These are called bifteki. - paula_mason88

Ingredients

  • 500 g lamb mince
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup fresh breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbs chives chopped
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tsp chilli minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 100 g fetta cubed

Method

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients, except feta, in a large bowl by hand until combined. Mixture should hold together firmly but should remain a little sticky. Add another egg or breadcrumbs, if required.
  • Step 2
    Roll mixture into balls around cubes of feta to slightly larger than golf ball size.
  • Step 3
    Chill in the fridge for a few hours.
  • Step 4
    Grill on the barbeque until cooked through.
Recipe Notes
Great prepared the night before to give the spices time to infuse. Great served with a simple garlic sauce, baked potatoes and Greek salad.
