Ingredients

  • 1 bread roll
  • 4 garlic clove crushed
  • 150 g parmesan cheese grated
  • 100 ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 190C.
  • Step 2
    Slice bread on an angle into 3 cm slices.
  • Step 3
    Mix together the garlic, cheese, oil, and herbs to make a paste. Spread mixture on both sides of bread, keeping the shape of the bread stick or rolls.
  • Step 4
    Wrap in foil and bake, upside down, for about 10 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Unwrap top of foil and bake for a further 3 minutes or until crisp.

Recipe Notes
This bread can be placed into the freezer for 4 weeks and can be cooked from frozen state straight into a hot oven for about twenty minutes. I have used oregano and rosemary, fennel, and mixed herbs, depending on what I am having with the garlic bread. Use long bread stick or 6 long rolls and Parmesan cheese or cheddar cheese.
