A simple, quick and easy to cook dish for vegetarians.
Ingredients
- 500 g tofu
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 1 tbs kecap manis
Method

Step 1Heat a griddle pan until very hot.

Step 2Slice the tofu into steaks about 1½-2 cm thick.

Step 3Grease pan with olive oil.

Step 4Place tofu in the pan and drizzle kecap manis over the top.

Step 5Turn the tofu over when the bottom side is golden and crisp.

Step 6Remove tofu from pan when the other side is browned and crisp.

Step 7Serve with a salad and crusty bread.
Recipe Notes
Kecap manis is a thick, sweet, soy sauce. It will almost burn when the tofu is cooked but gives it a nice flavour.
