Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup self-raising flour
  • 1 tbs cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1 egg lightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 60g butter melted
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbs icing sugar *to decorate
  • 1 cup boiling water

Method

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 180C and lightly grease four ¾ cup ramekins.
  • Step 2
    Put the flour, cocoa and caster sugar into a large bowl.
  • Step 3
    Stir in egg, milk and butter. Mix together.
  • Step 4
    Spoon the mixture evenly into four ramekins.
  • Step 5
    In a separate bowl, mix together the extra cocoa and brown sugar.
  • Step 6
    Sprinkle the cocoa and brown sugar mixture on top of ramekins.
  • Step 7
    Carefully pour a ¼ cup of boiling water on top of each ramekin.
  • Step 8
    Place the ramekins on a baking tray and place in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the middle.
  • Step 9
    Dust with icing sugar and serve with cream or ice cream.
