Chocolate combined with marshmallow creates the perfect winter hot drink, turned into a mousse tart, double the winter treats!
Ingredients
- 50 g unsalted butter chopped into pieces cold
- 300 g chocolate cream biscuits
- 1 cup milk
- 200 g mini marshmallows
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 300 g thickened cream
Method
-
Step 1Lightly grease a loose-based flan pan with extra butter and line the base with baking paper.
-
Step 2Place the chocolate biscuits and chopped butter in a food processor until they start to break down and clump together. Tip the crumb mixture into the flan pan and press into the base and sides with your fingers to form the tart shell. Place the tart shell in the fridge to chill while you make the filling.
-
Step 3To make the filling, heat the milk, marshmallows and chocolate in a medium saucepan over low heat until the milk starts to come to a boil. Remove from heat and stir until combined. Set aside to cool for at least 10 minutes.
-
Step 4In a large bowl, use electric beaters to whisk the cream until it forms soft peaks then, still whisking, slowly drizzle in the chocolate marshmallow filling. Whisk until smooth and combined.
-
Step 5Pour the filling into the flan pan.
-
Step 6Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or until set. Serve with double cream and fresh raspberries and a hot chocolate for a little extra something.

- food processor
