Tender garlic prawns "a little sweet with a hint of heat".
Ingredients
- 850 g green prawns
- 4 tbs oil
- 3/4 cup sweet chilli sauce
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp chilli chopped
- 6 garlic cloves
- 1 pinch salt and pepper
Method

Step 1Peel and de-vein green prawns and set aside.

Step 2In a bowl add oil, sauces, chilli and fresh garlic.

Step 3Add salt and pepper to taste, mix well until combined.

Step 4Place prawns in marinade, stir to coat well. Cover and place in fridge for a minimum of 3 hours.

Step 5Heat a small amount of oil in a hot wok. Toss in prawns and stir fry on high heat for a few minutes, until prawns are cooked through.

Step 6Serve on a bed of jasmine rice with steamed green vegetables on the side.
Recipe Notes
I prefer to use fresh chilli in this dish.
Use as much or as little chilli to taste.
These are also great cooked on the barbeque.
