Caramelised Sweet Chilli Steak

Ingredients

  • 2 beef rib-eye steak
  • 350 ml thickened cream
  • 1/2 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp olive oil

Method

  • Step 1
    Pan fry steaks in oil on high heat until browned on both sides. Remove steaks from the pan.
  • Step 2
    Add cream and bring to the boil. Turn heat down to medium and stir continuously until cream thickens and becomes golden, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add sweet chilli sauce and continue stirring for 2 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Return steaks to the pan and increase heat to high, then cook to preference.
Recipe Notes

Serve on a bed of mash with steamed veges. I love to add spinach on top of mash. Rump steak can also be used.
