A quick and simple, sticky, caramel sauce is ideal for dipping all kinds of wonderful things into. We have some dipping suggestions in the recipe, but you could really go to town with this one at your next party or gathering and dip all kinds of fun foods!

How to make caramel fondue: key tips

Caramel fondue is really just a lovely and thick caramel sauce. To make it, you simply place all the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat and stir until the butter melts. Bring the mixture to the boil and then cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until the caramel is smooth and thick enough to stick to anything you’d like to dip into it.

Some of the things the cook suggests are strawberries, sliced banana and marshmallows, but we also have some more moreish ideas in the notes below the recipe.

Key ingredients in this caramel fondue recipe

Brown sugar, cream and butter are all you need to make caramel magic. Choose full-fat cream and butter so that your sauce is at its creamy best.

Strawberries, banana and marshmallows are all terrific ideas to dip into your caramel fondue. They are bite-sized and can easily be skewered.
