A combination of fresh and canned beans with a sweet dressing. Quick and easy and perfect with a BBQ.
Ingredients
- 500 g fresh beans cooked
- 440 g Three-Bean canned mixed beans
- 1 red capsicum chopped
- 1 onion sliced
Dressing
- 1/2 cup light olive oil
- 3 tbs white vinegar
- 2 tbs brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp mustard powder
- 2 garlic cloves crushed small
- 1 tsp dried basil leaves

Step 1Combine all ingredients for dressing and shake well. Pour over combined bean mix and refrigerate for several hours.
Recipe Notes
I use fresh or frozen green beans, but any combination of beans can be used depending on what you have on hand. Try substituting any of the following: kidney beans, chick peas, yellow beans or 4 bean mix.
Red capsicum can be substituted with cherry tomatoes.
The idea is to make it appealing by having lots of colour.
