This is a variation to my Banoffee Pavlova recipe I submitted a couple of years ago. My new recipe I like to serve for a more intimate dinner party. It looks so nice in the serving glasses and tastes just as good.
Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 120 g caster sugar
- 395 g Nestle Top 'n' Fill Caramel chilled
- 3 bananas thinly sliced
- 300 ml thickened cream beaten
- 1 Cadbury Flake chocolate bar
Method
-
Step 1Meringues: Beat eggs whites and caster sugar for 10 minutes or until sugar is completely dissolved. Place 4 mounds of mixture onto a baking paper-lined tray and smooth out to resemble discs. Bake in a preheated oven at 100C degrees, fan-forced for 90 minutes. Turn oven off and leave pavlova discs in oven until completely cold.
-
Step 2To serve: Break up meringues and place some pieces into serving glasses. Pour in some Top 'n' Fill caramel, then add a few slices of banana, then whipped cream. Layer twice more finishing with the cream. Garnish with crumbled Flake.
Equipment
- electric mixer
- 4 serving glasses
Recipe Notes
Can be made ahead and refrigerated until needed, or served immediately if you prefer your pavlova super crunchy.
If you don't want to make the pavlova you can use purchased meringue nests.
