Yet another twist on the classic banana bread. The honeycomb makes a delicious difference.
Ingredients
- 100 g butter
- 1/2 cup caster sugar
- 2 eggs extra large
- 6 bananas mashed ripe
- 80 ml buttermilk
- 2 cups plain flour sifted
- 2 tsp baking powder sifted
- 2 x 50 g Cadbury Crunchie chocolate bars
- 1 cooking oil spray
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 180C.

Step 2Cream the butter and caster sugar.

Step 3Add the eggs and bananas and mix well.

Step 4Add the buttermilk and stir until well combined.

Step 5Add the flour and baking powder and mix well.

Step 6Add the Crunchie bars or honeycomb and stir until combined.

Step 7Spoon the batter into a 23 cm x 13 cm loaf pan lined with baking paper and sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 8Bake for 50-60 minutes.

Step 9Turn out onto a rack and cool.

Step 10Top with extra chopped Crunchie bars if desired.

Recipe Notes
You can use 4-6 ripe bananas. 70g of honeycomb can substitute the Crunchies. The Crunchies can be left out for a plain banana bread.
