A beautiful, firm, quiche that's quick and easy. The whole family will love it.
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup thickened cream
- 2 sheets puff pastry thawed
- 1/2 cup plain flour organic
- 1 bunch asparagus cut into pieces
- 100 g ham (deli) chopped
- 1 leek
- 1 red onion finely chopped
- 1 tbs olive oil
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 egg whites
- 1 cooking oil spray
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 180C. Prepare quiche dish with cooking spray. Finely cut white part of leek.

Step 2Cook leeks with a little oil, then add brown sugar to caramelise. Add asparagus and cook until softened.

Step 3Add the ham, onion, salt and pepper.

Step 4Combine together the flour, cream, milk, salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese and eggs.

Step 5Prepare quiche tray with a covering of the pastry, add a little egg white on the edges.

Step 6Add the asparagus mixture to the cream mixture and pour into the quiche dish, spray top with cooking spray.

Step 7Bake for 40-50 minutes.
Recipe Notes
To know when quiche is cooked place a knife in the middle and if it comes out clean it is cooked.
Great served hot or cold, great for lunches and with a tomato, rocket salad with balsamic dressing.
