Ingredients

  • 125 g icing sugar
  • 125 g custard powder
  • 375 g plain flour
  • 375 g margarine room temperature

Icing

  • 1 1/4 cups icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup hot water

Method

  • Step 1
    Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl, mix in margarine, until mixture is smooth and well combined. Roll 1-2 teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls.
  • Step 2
    Place on lined baking tray and press down lightly with a fork.
  • Step 3
    Bake at 160C for 15 minutes. The biscuits do not need to brown. Allow to cool.
  • Step 4
    Icing: Sift icing sugar into bowl, add vanilla and a little hot water at a time to make a fairly thick mixture.
  • Step 5
    Sandwich biscuits together.
