Ingredients

  • 1 kg potato
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/4 cup cheese optional
  • 1 pinch spice mix *to taste

Method

  • Step 1
    Bring 2 litres of water to the boil. Add salt and pepper to the water.
  • Step 2
    Peel and cut the potatoes into medium sized chunks.
  • Step 3
    Add to the boiling water and boil for half an hour or until you can poke a skewer through the potato.
  • Step 4
    Remove from the heat and drain.
  • Step 5
    Add all the other ingredients and mix with electric beaters until thick and smooth.
  • Step 6
    Serve as a side dish with meat or vegetables.

  • 1 electric beaters
Recipe Notes
Depending on whether you like thicker or thinner, use differing amounts of milk, or don't use any.
