I use this potato as an indulgent side to any meat dish.
Ingredients
- 1 kg potato
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tbs butter
- 1 cup cream
- 1/4 cup cheese optional
- 1 pinch spice mix *to taste
Method

Step 1Bring 2 litres of water to the boil. Add salt and pepper to the water.

Step 2Peel and cut the potatoes into medium sized chunks.

Step 3Add to the boiling water and boil for half an hour or until you can poke a skewer through the potato.

Step 4Remove from the heat and drain.

Step 5Add all the other ingredients and mix with electric beaters until thick and smooth.

Step 6Serve as a side dish with meat or vegetables.

Recipe Notes
Depending on whether you like thicker or thinner, use differing amounts of milk, or don't use any.
