This is a very easy and tasty homemade tartare sauce for seafood or fish and chips. - davinadavidson

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbs gherkin relish
  • 1 tbs onion powder
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp fresh dill finely chopped *optional
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper

Method

  • Step 1
    Mix together all ingredients and season with salt and pepper.
  • Step 2
    Refrigerate for at least 45 minutes before serving.
Recipe Notes
Bottled minced onion can be used. I usually use ¼ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon fresh black pepper.
