Ingredients

  • 230 g butter
  • 450 g sultanas
  • 340 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3 egg
  • 230 g sugar
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  • Step 1
    Simmer sultanas in just enough water to cover for 20 minutes. Drain excess water.
  • Step 2
    Add chopped butter and mix through sultanas. Beat in eggs, sugar and salt.
  • Step 3
    Mix in dry ingredients with butter and sultanas.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 170C for 1¼ hours.
