Chinese steamed chicken.
Ingredients
- 600 g skin-on chicken breast fillet
- 5 shallots finely chopped
- 3 tbs ginger chopped
- 4 tbs soy sauce
- 1 tbs garlic minced
- 2 tbs peanut oil
- 1/4 tbs fish sauce optional
- 1 pinch salt
- 4 cup bok choy
- 2 cup rice boiled *to serve
Method

Step 1Combine shallots, ginger, garlic, soy, oil, and fish sauce.

Step 2Rub salt onto chicken, then gently steam chicken.

Step 3Steam bok choy and place on bed of rice.

Step 4Cut chicken into bite-sized slices and place on rice.

Step 5Cover with ginger and shallot sauce.
Recipe Notes
Add or reduce ingredients as per individual taste. I tend to ensure there is a heap of the sauce. Chicken thigh can be used.
