Lovely spicy prawns with a healthy dip. This makes a lovely starter to an Indian meal, or a meal in itself with rice and vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1 kg prawns deveined peeled
- 1/4 cup tikka masala Indian curry paste
- 1/2 cup plain yoghurt
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tbs coriander chopped fresh
Raita
- 250 g English spinach chopped
- 1 cup plain yoghurt
- 1 clove garlic crushed
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tbs lemon juice
Method

Step 1Prawns: Combine tikka paste, yoghurt, juice and coriander in a bowl.

Step 2Add prawns, and refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.

Step 3Just before serving, grill or barbeque drained prawns until just tender.

Step 4Raita: Boil, microwave or steam spinach until tender, drain. Or thaw and drain frozen spinach.

Step 5Blend or process spinach with remaining ingredients.

Peel and de-vein prawns with tails intact and use English spinach or frozen equivalent.
