Something different to banana bread.
Ingredients
- 2 cup rhubarb finely chopped
- 1 1/2 cup pear finely chopped peeled
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cup self-raising flour
- 4 egg lightly beaten
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup mixed nuts coarsely chopped
Method

Step 1Mix all the dry ingredients together. Add the fruit, oil and eggs.

Step 2Pour into greased loaf pans.

Step 3Bake at 180C for 50-60 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.

Step 4Allow to cool before removing from pan. Cool completely before slicing.
