A friend gave me this recipe. A delicious dish with the flavour of bacon and leek. You will want seconds with this one.
Ingredients
- 2 leek
- 4 bacon rashers
- 5 mushrooms sliced
- 1 zucchini sliced
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- 3/4 cup white wine
- 200 ml cream
- 1 tsp cornflour
- 1/2 cup tasty cheese grated
- 1 tbs parmesan grated
- 200 g pasta cooked
- 1 pinch fresh curly parsley
Method

Step 1Wash and slice leeks. Chop bacon into pieces.

Step 2Fry butter in pan and add bacon, leeks, mushrooms and zucchini.

Step 3When the mixture softens, add the crushed garlic.

Step 4Add the white wine, allow to bubble, then lower heat and add cream.

Step 5Stir through and simmer.

Step 6Add a little cornflour to thicken.

Step 7Add cheeses and stir through and continue to simmer for a few minutes.

Step 8Add fresh parsley if desired. Stir pasta through sauce.

Step 9Serve with steamed broccoli or other greens.
