Ingredients

  • 250 g tomato pasta sauce
  • 1 tomato ripe roughly chopped seeded
  • 2 cups ham (deli) diced
  • 1 onion peeled sliced small
  • 1 cup fresh basil torn
  • 6 sage fresh torn leaves only
  • 1 tsp garlic minced
  • 1 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • 200 g pasta cooked drained
  • 1 tbs parmesan cheese shaved *to serve

Method

  • Step 1
    Heat a little olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Step 2
    Add onion, stir and add garlic.
  • Step 3
    Cook until onion is translucent, then add ham, basil and sage.
  • Step 4
    Turn until ham is browned, and season with a little salt and pepper.
  • Step 5
    Add tomato and pasta sauce, mixing well. Add a small handful of shaved parmesan and stir through.
  • Step 6
    Cover and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Step 7
    Serve on top of pasta, with a garnish of fresh basil leaves and shaved parmesan.
