Ingredients

  • 500 g fish fillets diced steamed
  • 2 tbs butter
  • 2 onion finely chopped medium
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 4 tbs parsley chopped
  • 1 salt and pepper *to taste
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 3 cup potato cooked mashed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cheddar cheese grated *to serve

Method

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in pan, add onion and garlic and sauté until transparent.
  • Step 2
    Remove from heat and add parsley, salt and pepper, fish and wine or water. Mix all together.
  • Step 3
    Pour mixture into greased ovenproof dish and top with mashed potatoes to completely cover.
  • Step 4
    Brush top with milk and sprinkle liberally with grated cheese.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 200C for 20 minutes or until top is golden brown.
Recipe Notes
Serve with salad or your favorite steamed vegetables. You can use water instead of wine.
