Really delicious and well worth the effort.
Ingredients
- 2 cup plain flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp oil
- 3/4 cup milk gently warmed
Method

Step 1Stir flour and baking powder into a bowl.

Step 2Add salt and oil to lukewarm milk.

Step 3Gradually add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and work into a dough.

Step 4Knead for 2 minutes. Rest for 15 minutes

Step 5Divide into 8 equal sized balls, then rest again for 20 minutes.

Step 6Roll out a ball and transfer to a dry, hot pan.

Step 7Turn after 15 seconds,and cook for another 15 seconds.

Step 8Roll out the next tortilla while one is cooking.
Recipe Notes
You can substitute 1 cup of flour for wholewheat flour. The dough won't rise, but it needs to rest, otherwise it will be really tough to roll out.
