Salmon pasta bake that is quick, easy and really tasty.
Ingredients
- 300 g shells pasta shapes
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 4 green onion thinly sliced
- 2 garlic clove crushed
- 2 tsp lemon rind, finely grated
- 400 ml pure cream
- 415 g canned red salmon drained flaked
- 1 tbs fresh dill chopped
- 1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
- 3/4 cup tasty cheese grated
Method

Step 1Preheat oven to 180C.

Step 2Lightly grease baking dish.

Step 3Cook pasta in large saucepan of boiling water, then drain.

Step 4While pasta is cooking, heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

Step 5Add onion and garlic and cook, stirring, for about 2 minutes.

Step 6Add cream, lemon rind and salmon, and gently combine.

Step 7Reduce heat to low, and cook, stirring gently, for about 3 minutes, or until heated through.

Step 8Add dill, and stir.

Step 9Add mixture to pasta, and toss gently to combine.

Step 10Transfer to baking dish.

Step 11Top with breadcrumbs, then cheese.

Step 12Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Recipe Notes
Serve with crusty bread and simple salad if desired, or on its own. I would only use red salmon for this recipe, not pink. Sometimes I will just cook the whole 500 g bag of pasta shells, and add about another 200 mL of cream, to stretch this meal a little further. Brown onion diced can also be used.
