A luscious dessert for anyone with a sweet tooth, perfect for a special occasion.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 250 g soft cream cheese
- 5 egg
- 440 g sweetened condensed milk
- 375 g evaporated milk
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
Method

Step 1Cook sugar in a small saucepan over low heat until melted and caramel in colour. Pour into a 26 cm non-stick cake tin, tilt the tin to coat the sides.

Step 2Beat the cream cheese until soft and then beat in 1 egg at a time until combined.

Step 3Add remaining ingredients and beat until smooth.

Step 4Pour mixture over the sugar in the cake tin and place tin in a baking dish.

Step 5Fill the baking dish with boiling water so that it is half way up the cake tin.

Step 6Bake at 180C for 50 minutes.

Step 7Refrigerate overnight.

Step 8Turn out upside down onto a plate before serving. The caramel will run over the set custard.
