Ingredients

  • 2 tbs oil
  • 1/3 cup popcorn raw
  • 250 g butter
  • 4 tbs honey
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar

Method

  • Step 1
    Grease well a 28 x 18 cm cake tin with some extra melted butter.
  • Step 2
    Pop the corn according to directions on the pack with the oil.
  • Step 3
    Place popcorn in prepared tin.
  • Step 4
    Melt the butter in a saucepan, add honey and sugar and stir over a low heat until sugar dissolves.
  • Step 5
    Boil without stirring for approximately 8 minutes or until mixture makes a small crack sound when half a teaspoonful is tested in cold water.
  • Step 6
    Remove from heat and allow bubbles to subside. Pour over popcorn.
  • Step 7
    Allow to set hard before breaking into pieces.
Recipe Notes
You can add unsalted roasted peanuts in with the popcorn before pouring over caramel.
